Pinned it Tuesday: tinto de verano

29 Jan

In case you’re unfamiliar, tinto de verano is popular in Spain and very similar to sangria.  The name “tinto de verano” translates to “red wine of summer.”  Typically someone who prefers white wine over red, I figured I’d give it a try.  I read that carbonated water, sprite/7-up, orange or lemon soda could be used but what grabbed my attention with this particular recipe is that calls for sparkling lemonade, which I just love.  Prepare yourself.  This recipe is very complicated:

Tinto de verano

Fill glass with ice.  Add red wine to halfway.  Top with sparkling lemonade.

I’m pretty much obsessed.
